SiOO:X Prewash is a pre-treatment agent developed for deep cleaning of wood surfaces, ensuring optimal adhesion and a long-lasting result for the SiOO:X Wood Protection system. It effectively removes dirt, algae, pollutants, grease, and old paint residues, and opens the structure of the wood surface, allowing SiOO:X to absorb more evenly and deeply into the wood.
The product is suitable for:
Pre-washing before SiOO:X treatment
Opening up surfaces (oiled, planed or dense wood surfaces)
Particularly dirty or damaged SiOO:X-treated surfaces
Removing algae, vegetation and stubborn dirt
Note! Prewash also dissolves the SiOO:X Surface Protection layer, so the surface protection should always be treated with SiOO:X 3 Re-Coat product after cleaning.
Dilute 1:4 with water.
One liter yields five liters of ready-to-use cleaning solution, which treats 20-25m² of surface to be cleaned.
Dosage and dilution
Pre-treatment before SiOO:X treatment: use full strength or strength according to package instructions.
Maintenance cleaning / light wash:
Dilution 1:4 (1 part Prewash, 4 parts water) One liter yields five liters of ready-to-use cleaning solution, which treats 20-25m² of surface to be cleaned.
Easy targets:
Dilution 1:8 (1 part Prewash, 8 parts water) One liter yields five liters of ready-to-use cleaning solution, which treats 40-50m² of surface to be cleaned.
Coverage: 1 liter of diluted solution covers approx. 4–5 m² of surface, depending on dirtiness.
Remember
Minimum application temperature: 0 °C
Wipe up spills immediately with a damp cloth.
Prewash does not remove stubborn oil or paint layers — these must be sanded off.
The product dissolves the SiOO:X Surface Protection layer → remember to re-treat the surface with Surface Protection agent.
