Mix product well before use
Surface preparation:
Always ensure that all surfaces are clean, oil-free and dry. Clean the surface of dirt and remove grease and oil with a suitable detergent. Sand the surface with dry sandpaper. Carefully remove dust with fresh water.
Unpainted surface:
Fiberglass:
Sand the surface and remove dust.
New wood:
Sand the surface and remove dust. Saturate the dry and clean surface with a suitable wood impregnating agent and allow to dry.
Steel:
Remove salt and other impurities by cleaning with fresh water. Remove rust and loose material by blast cleaning or with a wire brush. Remove dust.
Previously treated surface: Sand, clean and dry the surface.
Application:
Mix product well before use. Spot-prime bare areas to full film thickness.
Previously treated surface:
Apply two coats of the product.
Wood:
First, apply a coat of the product thinned with the recommended thinner Hempel Thinner 811 max. 10%. Finally, apply 2 coats of the product.
Fiberglass/Steel:
Apply two coats of the product. If necessary, add thinner max. 5%. To achieve a smooth surface, sanding is recommended between coats. Overcoat with the selected topcoat.
Previous paint layer: Hempel’s Wood Impreg (for new wood)
Shelf life: 5 years from the date on the lid
