Hempel’s Light Primer 45551
Solvent-based, 2-component, thick-film epoxy paint. Suitable for fiberglass, steel, aluminum and plywood surfaces. Forms an effective moisture barrier for the hull and prevents – depending on film thickness – the formation of osmosis. Excellent anti-corrosive paint.
Not suitable for overly "lively" wooden surfaces. Used above and below the waterline. Four shades. Different coats should alternate between two shades. This makes it easier to see coverage and ensure a proper film is formed.

Calculation: 8.2 m²/l/coat. Actual consumption may be higher. Select the number of coats for your project: one coat is usually not enough for a complete treatment of a new surface. Other products in the system are not included in the calculation. The number of coats depends on the substrate and protective film thickness. Check the complete priming system before ordering.

Fiberglass:
Sand the surface and remove dust.
Steel:
Remove salt and other contaminants by cleaning (high-pressure) with fresh water. Remove all rust and loose material by blast cleaning or wire brushing. Remove dust.

K
Liikkeen hyvillä neuvoilla (eli, varmista, ettei primeri ehdi kuivua täysin, ennen Tiecoatin maalausta), sain maalit tarttumaan hyvin. Tiecoat ei tartu, ellei primeri ole hieman märkä - ainakaan pienen testin perusteella, eli siinä mielessä silikoniväri eroaa hieman perinteisistä pohjamaaleista.
Kiitos Kenneth perusteellisesta arvostelusta!
Hienoa kuulla, että 35-jalkaisen purjeveneen pohjaremontti onnistui ja että neuvoistamme oli hyötyä!
Silic One -järjestelmässä maalausvälien noudattaminen on tosiaan erityisen tärkeää, jotta kerrokset tarttuvat kunnolla toisiinsa. Mukava myös kuulla käytännön kokemuksistasi.
Toivottavasti uusi pohja toimii odotusten mukaisesti ja edessä on monta hyvää purjehduskautta!
Terveisin
Lauri /Venemaalit
