All underwater bronze and aluminium parts must be protected. They are exposed to fouling and corrosion in the same way as other underwater parts of the boat. Since the condition of these parts affects the boat's performance, it is important to take proper care of them. This is due to the very fast water flow and turbulence in these areas. Painting systems are under pressure – especially on propellers.

Pre-treatment:

• Clean surfaces thoroughly with Hempel PreClean cleaner and fresh water.
• Sand with sandpaper with a grit of 80-120.
• Wash with fresh water and allow to dry.

Painting:

• Since the paint in these parts is subjected to severe stress, repainting requires thorough pre-treatment and painting.
• Follow the instructions in the table below.

NOTE! Never paint anodes. Otherwise, their function will be hindered!
