Wood boat oil is suitable for use with all natural oil varnishes such as Epifanes Clear Varnish, Rylard V.G.63, Spinnaker Gold Fashion and Le Tonkinois.
Boat oil is a slow-drying impregnator, allowing the oil to penetrate deep into the wood. The impregnator fills the wood cells, leaving no room for water to be absorbed into the wood.
Boat oil slows down the wood's moisture movement, preventing it from shrinking/swelling too quickly. The more and deeper the oil is absorbed into the wood, the more the wood swells and the longer-lasting the impregnation will be.
