Preparing the surface

Careful pre-treatment is a prerequisite for a successful painting job. The surface to be painted must be clean and grease-free.

Step 1

After cleaning, the surfaces to be painted must be sanded to the correct profile.

Step 2

If the hull surface is damaged, fillers and fairing compounds may be needed.

Step 4

Once cured, sand the filled area and its surroundings to the correct shape. Allow the compound to cure.

Step 5

If you are using a two-component primer, ensure the correct ratio of base paint to hardener. Always read the label.

Step 6
